I'm back. Last week was pretty busy running to and from the hospital, dealing with stress, and keeping the regular routine of the comings and goings on top of it all.
Good news to report that Gary and Devin are both doing pretty well. Gary got moved to a regular room yesterday and is down to only a few medications, and Devin started school today at the hospital, along with his all day physical therapy appointments. He is starting to make the connections again and was able to stand and walk a little with a cane the other day. Thank you for all of the prayers, they sure do work. Hopefully now they can be on to the rest of their healing.
In other news, we had a fun time at Easter dinner last week at Em and Bobs, and the kids have been enjoying having Brittany over here and there to spend the night. She even babysat for us on Friday so Scott and I could go uptown to watch the playoff hockey game on the big screen. She did an excellent job and the kids were in bed at 8:30 (this is rare even for me). Scott paid her with some cash and a drive to the mall... that was the highlight of her week I think. She is on spring break this week, so I am assuming we will be seeing more of her as the week goes on. She splits the nights between our house and Annettes, it beats sleeping on the couch in the waiting room. Kaleigh had to have a tooth pulled last week, she banged it on the table awhile back and since she had already had work done on it, it couldn't be saved. So she was the first one for the tooth fairy to visit. She did pretty well, with only a few tears, and now she likes to show everyone her missing toof.
Yesterday after church, lunch, and a trip to the hospital, we had some fun family time walking around downtown Ann Arbor, then the mall, and dinner at Macs. Scott got suckered again at the mall, and bought the kids new shoes, and clothes, as well as a few things for himself. After dinner and DQ we headed to Grammy and Grampys to say goodnight and let the kids burn off some of their dinner (boy were they wired up), Quinn had whitefish and carrots for dinner, and ate the whole thing... you would have thought he drank 10 Mountain Dews though, with all the energy he had. Anyway it was fun.
Well that is about it from me today. Go Tigers and Welcome Spring!!
