Math Men
Quinn's math has reached a point where it is challenging for me to help him. Not to say that I can't do 4th grade math, but I certainly am not the greatest at trying to teach it. So Scott has been helping him work on his homework and studying, and it is paying off big time! Quinn certainly gets less frustrated and tries much harder to get the answers right when Dad is helping him. They studied last week, and Quinn got an A on his test, he was SO EXCITED to come home and tell his Dad (and everyone else who was interested) that he got an A. I am glad that I am no good at Math (sounds strange right), and that Scott is, it's good for them. They worked hard on homework tonight, and it was very cute, Quinn had his arm around Scott and they were working the numbers. I didn't get a chance to grab my camera (and if I would have they probably would have stopped concentrating), so I don't have a picture, but I wanted to write it down to remember. So there we go. My "Math Men".

Where did I leave off?
Ok, it's been so long since I have tried to post that I had to upgrade to Google Chrome to be able to do it. I should really be posting more often, and can't really figure out how with kids at school all day I am busier than ever. But after spending time with the kids and the cousins going over old blog posts and laughing and laughing the other day, I feel compelled to at least TRY to document the goings on a little more often, even if I won't be able to catch every detail the way I used to I might catch something.
Quinn has decided as of this week that he would like to try and play baseball this spring. I have asked and asked him since he was in Kindergarten if he wanted to play and always got a NO THANK YOU from him. Not sure what has changed his mind this year, but I am excited that he is interested in playing a sport that I actually know the rules of. The kids do play basketball, I guess I know those rules too... anyway... I am excited for him to try something new, and hope he likes it.
Speaking of basketball, Upward has started again for the season and we have been enjoying going to games and watching all 3 of the kids play, along with their in-town cousins. Ella and Avery are on the same team, as are Kaleigh and Soph, we haven't got to see Lucy play yet, but I'm sure we'll get to a game or two. The games are fun (and sometimes a bit painfully awkward) to watch, but the kids are MUCH improved from last year. It takes up most of our Saturday's, but I don't mind that, as all I usually have to do on a Saturday is sit home and ponder the fact that my house is a mess.
See this is where I get to the point where I don't know what to write. So much to say, don't know where to start and stop, but I will wrap it up with the facts. We had a great day today, a little work, a little snow, school, dinner, after dinner baseball in the back yard because the snow had melted, a meeting, and home to update the blog. Yep, that's about it. The McClelland's Day by Day, days in the life of a family of five.
