The Team Band
After yet another dinner at Grammy and Grampys...Mexican tonight..., it was time for the Schroeder version of a Mariachi band for desert. Grammy got out the instruments, and it was time for the "Team" band (named by the kids) to make their debut. All the kids, even Lucy, for a few short minutes, were into making some lovely music for Auntie Em and I. They played, Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and many more before they took the group on tour to the garage where Scott and Grampy were working. They had a little trouble at first deciding on the march who was going to be the leader of the band, but once Ella and Quinn decided to head off and tag team it, they did alright. They made their way around the yard following (they only thought they were leading) Grammy around like the piper. Then they wanted to make it a moving band and get the 4 wheelers and jeeps involved, but the band broke up when they got on their tour bus and they decided to just go for a ride with Grampy instead. I expect the Team band to show up on Andys Songs of the day list soon. :)

Did we plan it this way?? Four year olds on the 4th step, the three year old on the 3rd? Etc??
It was fun! I hope Avery doesn't have any slivers from that cheap penny whistle.
P.S. I was amazed at how well they played the rhythms of the songs--however not so much on the tunes.
That picture on the stairs is very cute! I think they could out-do some of Andy's music anyday ;)
That stair picture is a keeper! How was Scott's first day on the new job?
Amanda
The kids always look like they're having such a fun time together! Do you think you've got some real musicians there?
Hope Scott's 1st day was great!
