We had a Mothers Day party at Quinns school today, and the kids all sang to us and made handprints. We also had ice cream sundaes and were served water from our kids. It was really cute. The poem next to the hand print read,
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing-
I'll be grown up someday
And all those tiny handprints
will surely fade away.
So here's a final handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.
I have a hard time believing that Quinn is almost 4 years old already and almost into his second year of preschool, but here we are and time does fly. Speaking of flying, Scott is on his way back from India, say a prayer for safe flights!

I agree with Andrew. That poem has been around for at least thirty years.
