It Worked!

Quinns words this morning when he saw the snow and found out there would be no school were, "It worked!" Last night he had to wear his pajamas inside out because his teacher told him so... (that way they were sure to have a snow day today), he even got Avery and Kaleigh in on the game. They were excited to see all the snow this morning and couldn't wait to get out in it. We did get out around noon to go get a sled and meet Auntie Em, Ella, Soph, and Lucy for a sledding trip down the hill by their house. The snow was a little sticky and the kids (Kaleigh, and Avery) a little grouchy, but they had fun. Lucy did her best impression of Randy, at one point she even fell on her back and laid there for about 2 minutes without trying to get up or complaining, it was hilarious! Sophie had fun laying down face first in the snow and having a snack of it. I should have gotten pictures of those things, but unfortunately that would have meant walking up the hill again! I did get a picture towards the end of the time at the hill though, the kids had started making a very large snowball. They really wanted to take it back to the house to play with some more, so Auntie Em loaded it on one of the sleds and walked it home. All in the name of winter fun!
